500 error or zero bytes size pdf file

i get a 500 error when i try to export to pdf or pandoc i have tried chrome and firefox same error. Also tried different computer. has worked fine in the past. been on vacation for 5 weeks back from vacation and now it stopped working worked fine before i left.
also tried old verision same issue 500 error.

I tried the standard welcome messae and same issue.

If i make a new document i get further. then i get a pdf of 0 bytes size.

Same problem here: I was able to export (to PDF or Pandoc) successfully a couple of days ago – but today, none of my documents can be exported as anything but Markdown or HTML. All Pandoc or PDF export attempts result in a 500 error, in both Chrome and Firefox.

I also get a zero size PDF that won’t open in any reader or browser. I see there’s a gh issue, but issues don’t seem to get seen the same way this discussion does.
