Who is StackEdit for?

#1

My reaction to StackEdit is ‘why are there two panes that show me almost the same thing?’ If I understand Markdown then I am quite happy editing MARKDOWN! That’s what it is for and it works ok within its limitations – all I need is a raw text editor. But if I am an artist wanting to add a post to my blog then I just want a simple editor, like a thousand other wysiwyg editors from wordpad to open office – I do not know about markdown and I should not need to know.

So who is StackEdit for?

Just to be clear, I am a developer looking for a decent wysiwyg editor with the sync features of StackEdit, but without the confusing UI.

You can just collapse the preview pane. The buttons for toggling views are located on the divider between the two panels.
